Asus has introduced their latest Home Server which is targeted towards modern home and small office users. Called as Asus TS Mini, the server is equipped with an Intel Atom N280 1.66GHz processor, up to 2 GB RAM, an optional 500 GB or 2 TB HD, six USB 2.0 ports, two eSATA ports, Gigabit Ethernet and operates on Windows Home Server OS. Other advanced features include the ability to automatically back up data from up to 10 computers (daily) and stream photos, music, video and other digital content to various devices including TVs, computers, Media PCs, and gaming consoles. BenQ comes back to the e-Book market by introducing the nReader K60 e-Book reader. Having dimension of 175mm x 122mm x 11mm and weights at just 220 grams, the e-book reading gadget has a 6-inch touchscreen e-paper display that uses SiPix Microcup technology to produce a native resolution of 800 x 600 pixels with 167 dots-per-inch and 16 grey scales. The BenQ nReader K60 provides a 2 GB of storage space, equals 4000 books and a microSD card slot (up to 16 GB) for more storage space. Additional features include WiFi, a mini USB port, a USB 2.0 port and a 3.5mm audio jack. Casio has just released a new Casio Exilim EX-FH25 superzoom camera that has a 20x optical zoom after releasing the Casio Exilim EX-FC150. The new Casio camera features a 10 MP CMOS sensor with a 3-inch LCD screen and an ISO range of 100-3200. The Exilim EX-FH25 camera is able to shoot at 40 frames per second in burst mode at a resolution of 3456 x 2,592 or at a 1000 frames per second in burst mode at a resolution of 224 x168. Transcend has released the new member of its StoreJet external hard drive series. Named Transcend StoreJet 35T, this compact 3.5-inch drive is available in 1 TB and 1.5 TB storage capacities and features a USB 2.0 connection interface, a OneTouch auto-backup button and makes use of Transcend’s TurboHDD USB technology for enhanced transfer speeds. In addition, the Transcend drive is also equipped with StoreJet Elite software that offers advanced 256-bit AES file and folder encryption. Although the Thecus N0204 is small, this network attached storage is able to hold a maximum of 1 TB capacity, thanks to 2.5″ hard drives or SSDs within. Claimed as the world’s smallest NAS, the Thecus N0204 has only a couple of bays with RAID 0, 1 or JBOD configuration. The storage device is also compatible with both Mac and PC networks and will work with Wi-Fi orGigabit LAN via the Ethernet connection on the back of the unit. Labeled with price of $249.99, the Hitachi 2 TB SimpleDrive claims a Turbo USB 2.0 interface, which is reported to be 25% faster than traditional USB 2.0 interface. This vertical external hard drive is also available in 500 GB and 1 TB versions. The 500 GB model is labeled with $99.99 price-tag, meanwhile the 1 TB model costs $129.99.
